Sailing to the Future

Touching Our World Foundation presents “Sailing to the Future” to support

teens in need, at Scott’s Landing Marina on Lake Grapevine, aboard our lovely 25.5’ Hunter sailboat, Dolce Vita. (Sweet Life)

Founded in 2005, Touching Our World’s mission is to promote humanitarian service to

the community. “Sailing to the Future” champions children in need, offering a course in

communication, sailing and water safety to teens at risk.

Experienced volunteer captains and crew guide their young sailors to a greater life

potential with sailing education and personal attention. These aspects provide teens an

opportunity to practice communication and responsibility while building academic,

teamwork and leadership skills for self-esteem and individual success.   

We invite you to participate by:

1. Becoming a “donor support partner” by making a tax- deductible donation and

enjoying the benefits of boat ownership for a year with all maintenance, insurance,

repairs, etc. included.  We provide captains for non-sailors and lessons!

2. Donating for a private sail for your group for a special occasion or the Friday night

fireworks display or sleepover!  Great gift for your office, that wonderful person in

your life or someone for whom it is hard to buy a gift! Captain and crew provided.

3. General financial donations to support our children’s programs and the everyday

work that we do for families in need.
